RUNNING THE
RACE
The
Races:
- Cars will be run in heats of two cars each.
- The cars are to be launched with their front
edge on the starting line. The first car to have its front edge cross the
finish line is the winner. If neither car makes it to the
finish line, the car going the furthest in its lane wins.
- If the wheels a of a
car should touch the lane markers or cross over the lane marker the car
shall be disqualified. The competing car immediately becomes the winner.
- Winning cars will advance to the next
round until all are eliminated except one car
THE RACE will be
composed of heats. Each heat
will pit 2 racers against each other. They will each run twice, swapping lanes
for each run. If both win a run, a third run will be held to determine the
winner of the heat and a coin toss will determine which lane each will take.
The winner will go on to run a heat against the winner of another heat. The
loser will go on to run against the loser of another heat. Those racers that
lose 2 heats are eliminated. We will continue to run the heats until we have
clear 1st and 2nd place winners of the race.
